Original Name: 東方永夜抄 (Touhou Eiyashou)
The 8th game from the now immensely popular Touhou Project. Like the others, this game is created by ZUN and published by Team Shanghai Alice. After the fighting game collaboration of Touhou 7.5, this game reverts back to the traditional Danmaku Shooter genre that Touhou is famous for. This game has the highest number of playable characters; you can choose one of 4 teams each consisting of 2 players, a human and a youkai:
Reimu Hakurei and Yukari Yakumo
Sakuya Izayoi and Remilia Scarlet
Marisa Kirisame and Alice Margatroid
Youmu Konpaku and Yuyuko Saigyouji
Each player has their own skills and bombs, allowing for a multitude of possible attacks. Again, brilliant gameplay and awesome music, and not as difficult as the previous touhou game (though that’s just my opinion).
To play the game, download it, extract it, double click on the english patch file to patch it, and then click on th08.exe to run it. NB: if the .exe file doesn’t work in Vista, run it as an adminstrator.
