Powerslave is the fifth studio album by the English heavy metal band Iron Maiden, released on September 3, 1984 on EMI in Europe and its sister label Capitol Records in the US (it was re-released by Sanctuary/Columbia Records in the US in 2002). It is notable for its Egyptian theme displayed in the album art, as well in the title track’s musical style. It contains a musical re-telling of Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s “Rime of the Ancient Mariner”, which uses pieces of the original poem as lyrics, and is the longest song Iron Maiden have ever recorded at a length of 13 minutes and 38 seconds. The album is also notable amongst the band’s albums as being the first album to feature the same lineup as the previous one. As of 2009, this is the last of the band’s albums to contain an instrumental track: “Losfer Words (Big ‘Orra).”
“2 Minutes to Midnight” and “Aces High” were released as singles, the former being a staple in nearly all of the band’s concert tours.

In between, there’s the dark minimalism of Da Germ and club soul smoothness of Differenz. Boasting an international roster gleaned from the U.S., Cuba, and Europe, Shadow records delivers the underground sounds of hip-hop production from an expansive perspective. Keri Lynn Hilson is an American R&B singer and songwriter signed to Zone 4/Mosley Music Group/Interscope Records. She is part of a collective of writers and producers known as The Clutch. The album was finally released on March 24th 2009. The album boasts amazing sounds from a slew of hitmakers like Timbaland, Polow, and Danja. The album features guest appearances by Timbaland, Lil Wayne, Akon, Keyshia Cole, and Ne-Yo. It’s a watershed moment that meets both goals-it sounds and feels great. Speaking up for all the ladies, ‘In A Perfect World’ also looks to empower women to be strong, independent and determined. “No human is exempt from the realities of life- heartbreak, failure, success…” Keri comments. This takes all forms throughout the album which reveals Keri’s ability to translate every day trials and tribulations into engaging music.
